Christmas 2012

This year was the first year that we stayed home for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. It was do fun to start a few of our own traditions, and to enjoy a laid back Christmas morning with no traveling. We missed our family, but thanks to FaceTime we were still able to see everyone! Christmas Eve we stayed home, cleaned in the morning and prepared a meal for later. At night Ryan's parents and brother Jordan came over and we had BBQ ribs, cheesy potatoes, and green beans for dinner. We played a fun Christmas bingo game, then watched a nativity clip on lds.org. Santa came at night and the girls (especially Addie) were so excited to see what he brought. We exchanged gifts, talked to family on the phone, and went to idaho falls to spend Christmas Day with Bells. I also got a call that night from Jeremy who is in his mission in Calgary because of issues with his visa. It was a great day to enjoy being together, and to remember our savior and his birth. I am so grateful for the gift that our father in heaven gave us that day!
