Bookworms

This morning I was making breakfast, and Ryan was just getting ready to leave for work when we realized that everything was quiet...usually a bad sign with Addison. We started looking around trying to find what she was up to and couldn't find her downstairs. She had gone up the stairs, and we found her in her bedroom reading stories to her doll:
How cute is that?
She was reading "Go Dog Go" and "Baby's First Toys" to her doll. I  hid around the corner and listened to her reading. It went something like this: "WASSAT? Ball! Tedda! Wassat? BALL! Tedda!"
("What's that? Ball. Teddy bear.) I love her little baby language!
She LOVES her "baby" she sleeps with it, eats with it (it sits next to her in her highchair), plays with it, and gives it love all day. It is the first thing she asks for in the morning, and the last thing she snuggles with at night. She brings the doll to me at least 20 times every day and wants me to wrap it up in a blanket.
Addison is such a sweet girl...she is so loving and kind. (MOST of the time...she IS almost two so she has her moments) I guess it is time to name her doll...obviously she has become quite an important part of our family. "Baby" just isn't going to do anymore. Any suggestions?

That is so adorable. I love it when my kids imitate the good things I do. She'll be a great big sister & little mom someday!

Oh she is so cute! I'm so glad you got to see her doing that. She has a good mom to learn from.
